What's the meaning of "Humble Yourself" ?

We
need to know the right definition from the Word of God not from others'
conceptions , I'll show you what I mean from my story:
"Many times while I was sharing my testimony of
healing with others , I found a
condemnation because I mentioned myself or spoke about myself & that
hindered me from helping others , for you smetimes need to show yourself
as example to others & show them how you found the solution from the
Word of God.
Some leaders criticised me & said: you are not humble , you
mention 'I ... I ..., me .... me ... ' , so I felt condemned. "
Many , like me , has been brought up in
wrong religeous teaching background. I've been brought up in a
church that taught me if you spoke about yourself , or said the
words : "I , me , myself ,..." then you fell in the pride sin.
And I knew that many believers are
suffering from such condemnation which is not biblical.
BUT after checking the Bible I found that Jesus spoke about himself
& said many times the word " I " .
Also the Apostle Paul did that many times .
Then from the Bible , I knew the right definition of Humblness or
Meekness .
It was the Truth that set me free. You see , you need knowledge to not
be defeated !!
The definition is taken from the scriptures :
KJV 1 Corinthians 4:6
And these things, brethren, I have
in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes;
that ye might learn in us not to
think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be
puffed up for one against another.
NLT James 1:21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in
your lives, and humbly accept the message God has planted in your
hearts,
for it is strong enough to save your souls.

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all
disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.7 Do ye look on things
after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is
Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is
Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
KJV Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace
given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of
himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly,
according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
KJV 1 Peter 5:5
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of
you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God
resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the
mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
KJV 1 Timothy 6:3-4
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the
words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to
godliness;He is proud, knowing nothing.
Humblness is :
submiting yourself (your thoughts; mind)
under the Word of God .
Also submiting yourself under the Godly leaders (obeying them)
is humblness.
Pride is:
thinking & deciding out of the Word of God.
So if you used to
ignore what the Lord has done in you or through you, you are not humble.
When the
people see God is moving through you & using you , & after the meeting
they say you're blessing to us God bless you , don't say no no I'm not
blessing I'm bad . This is pride.
Also do that
with the devil , when he face you with symptoms , trying to convince you
with the sensual knowledge , face him with the truth , this is humblness
, & God gives grace to the humble.
Remember:
Mentioning the truth is humbleness , while
ignoring it , is pride.
